Street Party (Closed 3/16/20 – TBD).Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire (NOW OPEN).Liberty Square Riverboat (NOW OPEN) – A short maintenance like they usually do once a year.It’s possible this is could include the addition of the “Hatbox Ghost” character that was announced at the 2022 D23 Expo, but Disney has not made an official announcement yet. Haunted Mansion (Closed 8/7/22 – 8/9/23, Reopening 8/10/23) – This is closing for a routine refurbishment so likely nothing big and it should only be a few days.

Happily Ever After (NOW OPEN) – This beloved nighttime spectacular is back nightly at the Magic Kingdom after being gone for 18 months.Disney Enchantment – (Closed Permanently on April 2, 2023) – This nighttime show was replaced by Happily Ever After which returned after a 1-year+ hiatus.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (NOW OPEN) – This was closed down for regular maintenance for a short period of time.

It’s likely we’ll just see a lot of small improvements. Disney’s Magic Kingdom is the centerpiece of Walt Disney World, and there have been numerous refurbishments both big and small over the last few years.ĭisney would like to touch up a lot of the older attractions before the festivities begin, but it’s unclear how much is in the budget for big refurbishments.
